Who Is David Pourquery?
David Pourquery is the founder of Groas β a platform built to autonomously manage Google Ads campaigns using AI. Not AI-assisted. Not AI-recommended. Fully autonomous management: the system analyzes performance, writes ad copy, adjusts bids, creates and kills campaigns, and generates dynamic landing pages β without a human in the loop for routine decisions.
What Full AI Management Actually Means
Most “AI-powered” ad tools are recommendation engines. They suggest changes; a human approves. Groas is different β it acts. David’s framing: the system is built to handle everything a junior-to-mid PPC manager would handle day-to-day, freeing human judgment for strategy and edge cases.
The practical architecture involves:
- Continuous performance monitoring against defined ROAS and CPA targets
- Automated bid adjustments at keyword, ad group, and campaign level
- Dynamic landing page generation matched to ad creative and search intent
- Hallucination controls β guardrails to prevent the AI from making claims the advertiser hasn’t approved
The Agency Disruption Question
The honest question: does a tool like Groas make PPC agencies obsolete? David’s answer is nuanced. Commodity execution β the routine monitoring, adjustment, and reporting β is the first thing to go. What survives is strategic thinking: understanding client goals, identifying market opportunities, knowing when to trust the system and when to override it.
The agencies most at risk are the ones whose value proposition is “we manage your campaigns” rather than “we help you grow.”
